Nutrition resources and materials for a healthy new school year.
Opportunities abound to highlight a global event as the school year gets back into full swing.
Join us on September 28 to celebrate World School Milk Day! Milk is an important part of school meals around the globe, providing children with direct access to nutrients needed for optimal growth and development. Universal Meals allows California students to drink school milk for free each school day.
Download our World School Milk Day Activation Guide to find fun activities and resources to engage students and encourage school milk consumption.
Beginning this 2022-23 school year, California will make history as the first state to offer statewide Universal Meals to school children. All students will be eligible to receive a nutritious school breakfast and lunch every school day at no cost. School meal programs can help achieve nutrition security by providing vulnerable communities with access to nutrient-dense foods from all food groups.
Share awareness of Universal Meals by downloading the Back to School Toolkit! The toolkit includes resources and ideas to elevate school meal programs at school or in your community.
