School Foodservice Professionals Training

More Than a Meal: Creative Ways to Share Nutrition Messaging with Kids

This training is a four-part series that highlights the importance of providing nutrition education and messaging during school meal service. Designed for front line cafeteria staff, the training series describes the benefits of nutrition education for students, the critical role of school nutrition in developing lifelong nutrition habits, and describes methods and resources that foodservice professionals can easily use to provide nutrition education to students.

Each of the modules includes a worksheet, reference handouts, a quiz, and certificate for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for a total of 2.5 hours or 150 minutes CEUs.

The training is online, pre-recorded and self-paced and provided to school districts at no-cost. It can also be offered as a live zoom or face to face training and tailored to school district needs.
