Sonia Fernandez Arana is the Let’s Eat Healthy Program Manager and leads the activation and advancement of Let’s Eat Healthy, an initiative launched by Dairy Council of California to empower healthier children, families and communities through nutrition.

By leveraging existing community relationships and strengthening new connections, Sonia pursues and creates collaborative opportunities that educate, engage and empower key stakeholders across disciplines for Let’s Eat Healthy. Her commitment to elevating health and health outcomes of communities runs deep, with over 15 years of expertise in strategic partnerships and nutrition program development. 

A nutrition and education expert, Sonia brings invaluable expertise and insight into her program manager role to effectively position organizational expertise, strategies and solutions to advance multisector partnerships. Under her leadership, the Let’s Eat Healthy initiative will expand and be valued as part of the solution to improving health in schools and communities throughout California and beyond.

Sonia earned a Master of Arts degree in teaching from National University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food science with an emphasis in general dietetics from California State University, Chico.
