“How Can I Build MyPlate?” Students explore MyPlate and building a healthy plate using the five food-groups. They explain what they learned and set a goal to try new foods from the food-groups 

Builder activities provide an explanation of a topic, activities to explore the topic further and a goal-setting application to empower students to apply their learning and put healthy habits into practice. To support teaching this activity educator instructions are embedded in the first few slides which include instructions, fast facts, tutorials and standards alignments.

This collection of nutrition resources align to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, incorporates a behavior change model and reinforces making small steps to a healthier lifestyle.
