Activity + Eating for Teens: Healthy Tips for Teens

Booklet emphasizes making balanced food choices using MyPlate, limiting empty-calorie foods, choosing healthy snacks and beverages, participating in daily physical activity and more. 

The family of nutrition resources align to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, incorporates a behavior change model and reinforces making small steps to a healthier lifestyle. All booklets have been approved by the California Department of Health Care Services as meeting readability and suitability requirements for Medi-Cal managed care plans and are available in English and Spanish.

These booklets can be used one-on-one, as a handout or in a group setting.
