StaffPhoto_SusanBakerSusan Baker brings her passion for customer service into her role as office coordinator at Dairy Council of California. An integral member of the team, Susan has served as one of the organization’s lead customer service representatives for more than 13 years, supporting partners, customers and the public by answering questions and providing them with nutrition education resources. She also supports the office and staff as needs arise, willingly stepping in with resources, knowledge and time to help expand staff capacity and create solutions for the organization.

An avid baker and cook, Susan is thrilled to be able to combine her work with her passion for food. Having raised her children and now seeing her grandchildren grow, she believes that consuming wholesome, nutritious foods helps enrich the quality of one’s life, and that broadening one’s nutrition knowledge empowers better and healthier eating decisions.

Susan is a champion for community health and believes that nourishing children is essential to the future health of communities. By teaching children and families how to eat for optimal growth and development, they can be supported for lifelong health. She is proud of the important work she does in supporting Dairy Council of California, and believes that through collaboration, our current and future generations can be supported to grow healthfully.

Susan earned her B.S. in Consumer Science from California State University, Sacramento.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. –Ralph Waldo Emerson
