Phoebe Petersen is committed to helping her team not only reach their regional and organization goals, but also elevate the health of children and families.
Phoebe excels at building strong relationships, a skill she uses in the collaboratives and partnerships she supports and strives to teach her team. Her goal is to ensure her team of community nutrition advisers can successfully engage with educators, health professionals and food service personnel on a regular basis to ensure nutrition and nutrition education remains invaluable in the school and health space.
In addition to leading her team of community nutrition advisers, Phoebe is part of the food access team, working with partners across California to support key food access programs, like school meals, summer meals and Smarter Lunchroom Movement, that ensure students are nourished and supported to grow healthfully. She believes that access to healthy food and nutrition
education play a pivotal role in the health and academic outcomes of children.
Phoebe is proud to continue to advocate for children, supporting key access points for nutrition and nutrition education to improve their health, growth and development and academic performance.
Phoebe earned a B.S. in Clinical Nutrition from the University of California, Davis.
