School Foodservice: Implement Wellness Policies, Create Healthier Lunchrooms

School Foodservice

Lunch TraySchool Foodservice is an integral part of a healthy school environment. The cafeteria plays a central role in educating and modeling healthy behavior and can serve as a learning lab for nutrition education.

Dairy Council of California partners with school nutrition service staff to implement school wellness policies, create healthier lunchrooms and draw links to nutrition education in the classroom and at home. Plus, we provide resources to School Foodservice directors on the value that Milk and Milk Products bring to school nutrition and ideas for incorporating milk into school meals.
