20 whole Mushrooms, 1 - 1 1/2" wide, cleaned and stems removed
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove Garlic, minced
4 ounces fresh or dried Mushrooms, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped Green onion
1 tablespoon Flour
1/4 cup light Cream
1 tablespoon fresh Basil, chopped or crushed dried basil
1 tablespoon chopped Parsley
1/4 teaspoon Pepper


Set aside whole regular mushrooms. Chop stems and reserve. In skillet, melt butter. Saute stems with garlic, chopped mushrooms and onion about 3 minutes. Sprinkle mixture with flour. Add cream, cook and stir 1 minute. Add basil, parsley and pepper. Stir to blend well. Remove from heat. Place whole mushroom caps stem side up on baking sheet. Spoon mushroom mixture into caps. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
