What a delicious soup that would be a great first course or a meal!


1/4 pound lean ground Pork
1/4 pound lean ground Beef
1/4 pound fresh Shrimp
1/2 cup chopped Chives
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Soy sauce
1/2 pounds Wonton wrappers

2 quarts of Water
1/4 teaspoon dark Soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon Sesame oil
1 stalk green Onion, chopped
1/4 cup Cilantro or parsley,


Wash shrimp, remove shells. Combine pork, beef, shrimp, chives, and seasoning. Mix well. let stand 15-20 minutes. Set aside. To make wontons, place 1 tsp filling in center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges of wonton wrapper with water. Fold in half over filling, diagonally to form a triangle. Fold in half again and wrap one edge over the other.
In a large pot, bring 2 qrts of water to a boil. Add sesame oil and soy sauce. Gently drop the wontons into the boiling water. When the water comes to a boil, add 1 cup of cold water. When the water boils again, the wontons are ready. Garnish with onions or cilantro. Serve hot.
