Valerie Fung-A-Ling

“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have the safest way to health.” Hippocrates’ words had a tremendous influence on Valerie Fung-A-Ling, who can be found playing tennis, hiking and cycling with her husband when she is not working as a Project Manager at Dairy Council of California. In her role she manages, directs and coordinates the strategies and activities of Dairy Council of CA’s school nutrition education program development and placement in schools and communities. 

Valerie engages and collaborates with school leaders on projects that support local school wellness policies and promote sustainable nutrition education. She feels a great sense of pride working for an organization that instills the value of healthy eating in millions of students by providing programs, resources and education. Valerie earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from the University of Alberta.
