As a former volunteer at the Food Literacy Center in Sacramento, California, Jammie Lam truly believes that “food is the universal language that brings people together.” Her role as a Dairy Council of California community nutrition adviser allows her to build sustainable relationships with educators and school foodservice professionals, as well as community health leaders, while advocating for effective strategies that establish healthy eating habits. Jammie earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science at the University of California, Davis where she developed her true passions. “I love food and its impact,” she says. “Whether it is creating a meal at home or trying out the latest food trend, there is a bond through sharing food.”
