You may have often heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day- and it’s true- but do you and your child make time for breakfast every day?
Both children and adults can benefit by eating a balanced breakfast every day. Numerous studies show a link between eating a healthy breakfast and higher achievement on standardized tests, better concentration and classroom behavior, especially in children who aren't appropriately nourished.
Adult breakfast eaters tend to eat fewer calories, less saturated fat and cholesterol and have better overall nutritional status than breakfast skippers.
Be a healthy role model and start the day with one of the kid-friendly breakfast recipes below.
