The Registered Dietitians at Dairy Council of California have hand-selected a variety of recipes to help you prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks at home for your family.
We believe there are no "good" or "bad" foods; and all foods, even dessert, can fit in a healthy lifestyle. The key to a healthy diet is building the majority of your food choices around nutrient-rich foods from all the food groups and being physically active.
Use this recipe search page to find recipes based on time to prepare, meal type like breakfast or beverage, nutrition content like calcium, special features like "Kids Can Help Make It" or "Slow Cooker/Crock Pot", even specific food groups. You can even type a main ingredient into the search bar, then select the check boxes below for a more powerful and specific search.
Most recipes have nutrient information available and some recipes have tips on ingredient substitutions, special preparations to adjust nutrition content, how make a recipe ahead of time or even how to involve your child in preparing the recipe.

Healthyeating.org is brought to you by Dairy Council of California. The mission of this website is to educate on issues of nutrition and healthy eating. For instance, our calcium calculator helps people decide how much of the recommended daily allowance of calcium they need (and are getting); our 'healthy eating quiz’ is a nutrition test and assessment tool or online nutrition app useful for parents and teachers interested in nutrition and health. Our free nutrition lesson plans help teachers from kindergarten to high school teach nutrition and healthy eating. And, of course, our milk nutrition and dairy nutrition facts offer information on topics such as milk and bone health and the health benefits of probiotics. While you're here, enjoy tips, online games, and quizzes to help get kids to eat healthy including kid-friendly recipes!
